Davit Matikashvili, the Chair of the Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules of the Georgian Parliament, on Monday said the Government had the impression that European bureaucrats were deliberately using a “message box” that contributed to the deepening of Euroscepticism in Georgia.
Matikashvili was responding to remarks by Kallas, who said there were certain difficulties regarding Georgia because the European Union had no contact with the Georgian Government and wanted to support the Georgian people rather than the Government.
“Where they shamelessly emphasize that they want to support the Georgian people and have no contact with the Georgian Government, here they are precisely revealing the anti-Georgian and anti-Georgian policy that the Eurobureaucracy is unfortunately implementing today. We have the impression that the Eurobureaucrats are deliberately making such decisions and spreading such a “message box” that contributes to the deepening of Euroscepticism in Georgia”, he concluded.
