Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić highlighted his cordial conversation with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on further strengthening bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Georgia and the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting focused on the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries and prospects for further deepening bilateral cooperation.
“I had a cordial conversation with Irakli Kobakhidze about further improving bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Georgia and the traditionally friendly relations between our peoples, who are united by historical, cultural and religious ties”, Vučić said.
The Serbian President stressed the importance of strengthening economic ties, increasing trade turnover and advancing strategic projects.
He said the launch of a direct Belgrade-Tbilisi flight and Serbia’s decision to open an embassy in Georgia were particularly important steps that would help intensify people-to-people contacts.
Vučić also welcomed Georgia’s official confirmation of its participation in EXPO 2027, noting that the exhibition would provide another opportunity to deepen ties between businesses and citizens of the two countries.
