A public opinion survey commissioned by the opposition Lelo party and prepared by a local pollster Iago Kachkachishvili has reportedly been withheld from the public. Kachkachishvili has not responded to phone calls from Imedi TV.
Imedi TV has obtained the results of the poll. According to the opposition-commissioned survey, the ruling Georgian Dream party leads in both party and candidate approval ratings.
When asked, “If municipal elections were held this Saturday, which candidate would you vote for as mayor of Tbilisi?”, the results were as follows:
- Kakha Kaladze - 61.1%
- Lelo & Gakharia’s joint candidate - 25.3%
- Iago Khvichia - 7.3%
Regarding party ratings nationwide, the Georgian Dream leads in all regions, with an approval rating exceeding 60%.
The survey was conducted in September using face-to-face interviews with 1,500 respondents, with a margin of error of ±2.5%.
