Kakha Kaladze, the incumbent Mayor of Tbilisi and the mayoral candidate of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Tuesday said the results of the recent public opinion poll by Georgian Opinion Research Business International (GORBI) was not a surprise to him.
A new nationwide public opinion poll commissioned by Imedi TV and conducted by research company Georgian Opinion Research Business International (GORBI) indicates that the ruling Georgian Dream party holds a commanding lead ahead of the upcoming local self-government elections scheduled for Saturday.
Kaladze noted that the approval rating of 66.4% for the ruling team was felt in daily communication with voters.
“We have very frequent meetings with voters, and we feel this support, which the surveys have shown, every day. People see everything in reality and can distinguish who is who, which political party serves whom. I have said many times and I will repeat it once again, this country is governed by the Georgian people, and not by some outside interference, instructions, or an internal agency network”, the Mayor said.
