Levan Makhashvili, the Chair of the Committee on European Integration of the Georgian Parliament, on Tuesday said the nationwide public opinion survey conducted by the Georgian Opinion Research Business International (GORBI) showed a clear reflection of public sentiment across multiple dimensions.
“First and foremost, it shows that the Georgian Dream remains the unrivaled political force in Georgia’s political landscape. We also see that the key demand of the Georgian people is for democratic processes, civil electoral practices, and not radicalisation or street-driven politics. As Georgian Dream, we of course express our gratitude to the Georgian public for the trust and support reflected in the GORBI poll”, the official said.
When asked - “If parliamentary elections were held this week, which party would you vote for?” - 56.2% of respondents named the Georgian Dream party.
The poll was commissioned by Imedi TV and conducted by GORBI using face-to-face interviews across Tbilisi and the rest of the country. Fieldwork was carried out from June 22 to July 5, and included 2,300 adult respondents (aged 18 and over).
The data has been weighted both demographically and politically - based on declared voter turnout and official results from the 2024 parliamentary elections - and reflects the opinions of likely voters.
Likely voters were identified based on respondents' answers to questions about their readiness to participate in upcoming elections. The margin of error for the likely voter sample nationwide is +/- 3%.
