Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization, said on Tuesday that the Trump Tower Tbilisi project would be implemented in Georgia, noting that discussions about the country as an “incredibly great” place began at Mar-a-Lago in Florida and highlighting Georgia’s economic growth compared with Europe and other countries around the world.
In a video address at the presentation of the project, Trump said he was pleased that the development was taking place in Georgia, describing it as a country where people care about one another.
“I am very happy that this project will be implemented and that all of this is happening in Georgia, where people care about one another”, he said.
Trump highlighted Georgia’s cultural heritage, its role as a transportation crossroads and its natural beauty, describing Tbilisi as a city where everyone wants to be.
“It all started at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, when we were talking about Georgia as an incredibly great country. The Georgian people love America, and America loves the Georgian people. Compared with Europe and other countries around the world, Georgia’s economy is growing faster. We look at Georgia’s cultural aspects, the transportation situation - it is a crossroads. We look at its natural beauty, and this is a city where everyone wants to be”, he said.
“When we undertake projects, it is important for us to consider the overall environment, because we build the best buildings in countries where there is tremendous hospitality and where these buildings are highly prestigious. We truly want to have iconic buildings in different countries around the world. My father supports this. We really want to have these prestigious buildings”, Trump concluded.
