Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization, on Tuesday praised Georgia’s economic growth, cultural appeal and strategic location, saying the country’s close ties with the United States and rapid development make it an attractive destination for major international real estate projects.
Speaking via video at the presentation of the Trump Tower Tbilisi project, Trump said the Trump Organization views Georgia as an increasingly promising market for investment and development.
“Compared with any other country in Europe and with other countries around the world, Georgia is growing faster. It all started in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, when we were talking about Georgia as an incredibly good country. The Georgian people love America and America loves the Georgian people”, he said.
He also highlighted Georgia’s economic performance, citing annual GDP growth of around 10%.
“We look at the economy, we listen to the Economy Minister, and we see this kind of growth - 10% GDP growth annually - and Georgia is growing faster than any other country in Europe or compared with other countries around the world”, he noted.
The Trump Organization executive also described Georgia as an important crossroads, while pointing to its cultural appeal and natural beauty as additional advantages.
“We look at Georgia’s cultural aspects and the situation regarding transportation, because this is a crossroads. We look at the natural beauty, and Tbilisi is a city where everyone wants to be. When we undertake projects, the overall environment is very important to us because we build the best buildings in countries where there is a great deal of hospitality. These buildings are highly prestigious, and that is truly extremely important”, Trump said.
“We really want to have distinctive buildings in different countries around the world. My father supports this. We really want to have such prestigious buildings”, he concluded.
