Galt & Taggart, an investment banking arm of Lion Finance Group, released its latest monthly economic review, announcing an upward revision of Georgia’s real GDP growth forecast for 2026 from 7.0% to 7.5%.
According to the report, the adjustment is driven by exceptionally strong economic performance during the first half of the year.
“Taking into account the strong results of the first half of the year, we have increased the real economic growth forecast for 2026 from 7.0% to 7.5%”, Galt & Taggart said.
The company expects the National Bank of Georgia’s monetary policy rate to remain unchanged through the end of 2026.
“We forecast tourism revenues in 2026 at USD 4.9 billion, while in 2027 they will increase to USD 5.3 billion”, the report noted.
The average exchange rate of the Georgian lari against the US dollar is forecasted at 2.66 for both 2026 and 2027.
